I’m a “southern belle” from Alabama who was raised with one strict fashion rule: Thou shall not wear white after Labor Day. You may resume the wear white on Easter.
I’m not talking about “winter white” — that off-white color that seems warm and rich. I’m talking about that stark white-white!
With longer, warmer summers in general and my move to central Texas (where summer temperatures start in March and go well into October), should I reconsider this rule? I’m finally wiling to entertain the thought after reading a few articles:

What do you think? Do you wear white after Labor Day?
