February is American Heart Month, and Friday, February 3, 2017 is National Wear Red Day®.
From the official National Wear Red Facebook Event page:
“Why Go Red? Cardiovascular diseases kill nearly 1 in 3 women each year, killing approximately one woman every 80 seconds. Fortunately, we can change that because 80% of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action. That’s why this year we are asking that you wear red on National Wear Red Day® and Donate to Go Red For Woman. By doing so you help support educational programs to increase women’s awareness and critical research to discover scientific knowledge about cardiovascular health.”
I too will raise money for the Go Red For Women campaign.
For every Red Lipstick sold Sunday, January 29, 2017 through Tuesday, February 28, 2017, I will donate $5 to the American Heart Association*. PLUS I will seek corporate matching to turn every $5 into $10!!
