My Easter Dress

So, I’m a southern girl from Alabama, and we always got a new dress for Easter.  Since moving to Texas, I didn’t keep up the tradition as much.  Instead, I’d shop in my closet and did not necessarily buy anything new.

This year, I decided to find me a new dress!  I was draw to this “Baby Blue” dress that immediately reminded of a dress that I had as a child.  I received so many compliments that I decided to share my style details with you.

First, the DRESS.  It’s a Calvin Klein Compression Sheath Dress — “compression” means it makes your look slim (wink, wink).  I found it at Marshalls for $39.99.  When I looked online, it’s $89.98 at Macy’s!  So, I feel like I struck gold on that buy! $$$

Even at the higher price, this dress is so versatile, it is well work the money.  I added a white sweater in church because it was a bit chilly, but I envision making this dress more casual with a indigo jean jacket, like this one from Chico’s.

My SHOES are silver, and I got them from White House Black Market about 3 years ago.  They are sold out.  But I’ve see many similar styles around, like the Kain Leather Pump by Vince Camuto.  Silver shoes will go everywhere…so get you some.

For my JEWELRY, I chose to mix my metals, using silver and gold.  My necklace is from Stella & Dot, again from a couple of years ago.  Unfortunately, it’s no longer available but did a little research to find another one at Jane Stone.  I wear this necklace so many ways….from formal gowns to jeans and t-shirts.   So, it was a great investment.

My bracelet is a gift from my husband from more than 15 years ago.  It pays to invest in few prize pieces.  They may need polishing every now and then, but they never go out of style. And my ring is the Two-Tone Feather Wrap Ring, a new find from Caryne Hampton’s Chloe + Isabel Boutique.  Check out Caryne’s Online Boutique.

Finally, my make up.  You know it’s all Mary Kay!  I don’t play when it comes to my skin!  🙂  My eyeshadow is from our Fall 2016 Runway Bold collection.  I used the grey and lighter blue.  The palette is no longer available on the website, but contact me.  I have a couple that are still available.  I chose the Red Lip Liner and filled in with our Pink Wink Lip Gloss for a bit of contrast.

So, that’s me for Easter 2017, and some!  I think it’s a look that will be hot all Spring long and transfer right into Summer.

Until next time, Kimily
